The Digital Anatomy material family includes a collection of materials that can be used to mimic human tissue.
Mixing these materials in different ratios, along with PolyJet materials such as the Vero and Agilus30, can generate a range of shore values to create almost any anatomy in the human body. BoneMatrix: Rigid translucent material is used to mimic bone structures. This material is stiff and stable, and can be drilled into to practice procedures like total knee replacement (TKR).
Example anatomy presets include: Long Bone, Ribs, Vertebra, Skull.
GelMatrix: Watery translucent material is used to mimic soft and damp tissues and as an easy-to-remove support material for small cavities like in blood vessels for instance. This material should be mixed with other, more stable materials such as Agilus30. Example anatomy presets include: Liver, Gel Support, Subcutaneous Fat, Pure Gel Support.
TissueMatrix (MED310C): The softest commercially available 3D printing material. This sticky material lets users create models of soft and solid internal organs that feel and behave like native organ tissue when force is applied. Because of its stickiness and instability, this material should be mixed with stable materials like Agilus30. Examples for anatomy presets are the Myocardium and Liver presets.
