Can you imagine what it must have been like over 30 years ago to sit in your kitchen, and come up with something so innovative that it’s development would contribute to an entire industry’s revolution?  A revolution that would innovate ways to create not only new things, but new business value too? As we enter the revolutionary era of Industry 4.0, where connected systems and additive manufacturing take center stage, we don’t doubt that businesses will most certainly have questions that need to be answered.

The 3D printing market is projected to be over a $10B industry and growing by the year 2021, just four short years from now.  But have you ever wondered how businesses use 3D Printing to tackle business challenges and turn them into a competitive advantage?  What about the companies and the innovators that make it all possible?  If so, then come with us on a journey and learn how successful innovators interpret changes within their industries, in their own words.

Think of it as a pioneer’s portrait of a budding industry and a look at the creative process that drive these visions forward every day.  Stratasys is proud to present a new conversation series hosted by our Chief Marketing Officer, Tim Bohling, titled, “3D Printing the Future Today”.  Additive manufacturing experts and insiders within our network of customers, partners and subject matter experts will discuss the trials facing many companies as they work through transitioning and upgrading everything from their supply chain to their factory floors.

Stratasys is known for its innovation in the Additive Manufacturing arena with a large portfolio of advanced 3D Printers, materials and services. In fact, our first FDM printer, shipped way back in 1991, catapulted Stratasys into the position of leading the 3D printing revolution and haven’t stopped since, developing a range of systems that appeal to large manufacturers, designers, engineers, educators and other professionals.

Our inaugural edition features Scott Crump, Stratasys’ Chief Innovation Officer and Founder – who invented Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) from his kitchen.  He will discuss the latest innovation from Stratasys – the Stratasys Continuous Build 3D Demonstrator.  This is just the initial installment in our ongoing series and will be hosted by our Chief Marketing Officer, Tim Bohling.
